The best place for snow – a ski resort

2015 will be our 9th year in business.  Wow it has gone so fast and we have met so many tremendous people.  At least 25% of our current bookings are return customers – quite a few for the 4th or 5th time.  It is not surprising then that we often think of our returning guests more as friends and do keep in touch with them outside of sailing.  This year we were really thrilled to be invited to use the apartment of one of our sailing friends – in Auris, close to Alpe d’Huez in France.  Hence Richard and I have broken our tradition of skiing in Italy and have just spent a fab week skiing in France.  We were lucky – it snowed the night before we arrived and apart from one day of poor vis (due to more snow) we had fab skiing conditions.  We were also lucky that Gerry and Val were able to join us in resort at the beginning and end of the holiday and really enjoyed their company.  It was great to have a mountain guide on the first day out.  Luckily skiing is a bit like riding a bike – the skill comes back after a few wobbles!  Thanks you two – look forward to seeing you soon.

We are now back in Lanzarote, rested and relaxed ready for more sailing.  Our trips around Lanzarote are all sold out now, and in fact we only have one space between now and 16th May – that is on the milebuilding sail from Madeira to the Azores .   Hope one of you can join us

See you aboard
